what's next for jewel house

Jewel House is a Hawaiʻi–based nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness for women and children. Our vision is simple and powerful: safe homes, strong families, and generations transformed through love, dignity, and opportunity.

Through a construction partnership with Martin Cambra III and CamStaff Investments, and through collaboration with the City & County of Hawaiʻi and multiple Hawaiʻi service organizations, Jewel House is developing long-term residences where women and their children can rebuild their lives in safety.

These are not shelters.
These are homes—built for independence, stability, and a new beginning.

JEWEL HOUSE – HAWAIʻI HOUSING FOR WOMEN & CHILDREN

Building Homes. Restoring Hope. Strengthening Futures.

support our efforts
To provide permanent housing and community support that empowers women and children to rise above trauma, homelessness, and instability, building a life of security, purpose, and hope.

We believe every family deserves:

  • a home of their own,

  • access to opportunity

  • and the chance to thrive in community

OUR MISSION

Jewel House is developing multi-unit residential housing communities across Hawaiʻi designed specifically for women and children who are:

  • overcoming domestic abuse

  • surviving homelessness

  • exiting unsafe environments

  • rebuilding after trauma

Our homes are being constructed through an integrated partnership model that blends nonprofit purpose with professional investment-grade development execution.

THE PROJECT

City & County of Hawaiʻi
We are aligned with local public housing priorities and continue to collaborate with county offices to ensure project placement, permitting support, and community-driven land planning.

Hawaiʻi Women & Family Organizations
We are establishing housing placement pathways with trusted island organizations that serve women and youth who need stable homes, including:

  • faith-based community shelters

  • domestic violence outreach programs

  • family advocacy organizations

  • human services networks

  • program-based referrals

These relationships ensure that homes reach the families who need them most.
